Serendipitous Fact: Earlier today. when I was jamming out to “Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em” in that awkwardly sensual way that only a white girl with black girl booty can, I wondered to myself if this is the song from which Albert got his pet name for his special lady. Then I thought I should add it to my Tumblr drafts while it was still on my mind, just in case I heard their anniversary was coming up. While I was online, I decided to make my daily rounds of stalking Doreen’s intellectual musings, and almost immediately came upon this post. Their anniversary is TODAY.
These two crazy kids have been married for seven years. I wish you many happy years together in good health, loving the heck out of each other.
Oh my god I only wish I had booty. And I wish I were as creative and funny as you. You make me blush. Thanks for the sweet words on our anniversary. We had a sublime evening — classic cocktails at our favorite bar in Tacoma, “1022 South.” Then Bob’s BBQ takeout next door and onward home to be with Bella the Greyhound for the rest of the night. Heaven.
